When you ask yourself 'Do I want my wife back.', you should start by asking yourself can you get her back.   There will always be lots of men who will tell you to forget it and move on.    They likely don't know your circumstances and, in this case, are not able to give you good advice.  

The odds are that they have been hurt by a break up and so they are pretty negative about your plight.  They decided to move on without trying to put their old relationship back together.

You should never let the bad experiences of others affect your intentions when you decide to get your wife back.  Negative advice is the last thing you need.  You are going to have to adopt appositive approach when you are certain you want your wife back.

When it is possible you should always try to repair the relationship before you separate when you notice things are going wrong.  Once you have physically split up, matters become more complicated, but this does not mean you cannot be successful in getting her back.

Your whole attitude to what has happened will likely be the deciding factor, if you are to be successful.  Remember she has been your wife and so respect her and take things coolly and politely, whatever the barrage of reasons she puts up for not coming back.   You have to be resolute in your desire to get back together.   Once you convince yourself you should be well on the way to achieving your goal. 

When you decide not to return to each other immediately, the affair becomes more complicated for you.  You know you are doing the right thing, but you see the possibilities reducing.  This can be emotionally mind sapping for you but you have to keep up your strength if you are to give your old relationship just one more try.

Never forget that there are some marriages that can never be saved.  As your efforts the way will get more and more difficult, and this is only the beginning!

There will always be someone else to find if things cannot be put back together again.  You have to think like this, as difficult as it may be, if eventually you find you cannot resurrect the old relationship. 

If she refuses to come back you don't have to finish your life on your own.   You don't have to finish your days alone if she refuses to return.  There are so many other women out there that you can always find another partner who will love you and you can love them.    It should be a consolation to you to know that whatever happens you don't have to finish your life alone.  You will always find what you are looking for albeit with another person. 

If, when asked 'Do I want my wife back?' you still reply yes, and you manage things well, you may well find that your efforts are paid with success.
